These light weight and easy to use Ventti filters are made from cellulose acetate, which is a partly synthetic plant derived plastic wound together to form the filter. The cellulose acetate material reduces harshness, maintains draw resistance and allows the flavour to pass through easily, while reducing tar and nicotine.
FAQ:
How do cellulose acetate filters work?
This plant derived plastics are intertwined to form a mesh which essentially allows smoke to pass through while trapping tar and other impurities.
How do Super slim (6mm) and Regular (8mm) filters differ?
Super slim filters are 6mm in diameter compared with the standard 8mm, this essentially means that your hand rolled cigarette will be narrower and hence contain less tobacco, which gives you a cooler smoke. This 6mm filter forces the smoke through a narrower area which will give you a firm and tight draw. Slim cigarettes are more discreet in looks and performance, less tobacco being burned means less smoke and ultimately is more discreet.
How do I insert the filter correctly when rolling?
Rolling properly is very important to ensure a smooth and consistent smoke, you must understand that the filter is the cornerstone of your hand rolled cigarette – if this part is weak then your final cigarette will be weak and prone to collapsing. Grab a grinder, this may assist with the consistency: https://www.mybongshop.com.au/collections/grinders
If you are a beginner then follow these simple steps to avoid making a classic rookie mistake:
- Lie the paper on a flat surface with the glue facing away from you and also upwards.
- Put a small amount of tobacco in the crease of the paper and distribute it evenly
- Insert the filter on one end of the paper
- Pick up the paper carefully with your index fingers supporting the back and your thumbs guiding the front
- Roll with both of your thumbs until the tobacco is evenly distributed and packed more tightly – don’t squeeze it
- Tuck the front of the paper towards the back part where your index fingers are supporting
- Roll it upwards towards the back of the paper until you get to the gum line
- Lick the gum seal and then while holding the filter, seal the cigarette in a twisting motion
What is the best way to store my Ventti filters?
We recommend storing your Ventti Filters in an airtight container (glass, metal or plastic) in a dry, cool and dark environment. Sunlight, heat and moisture will shorten the life of your filters.
